Jackson's 1st Birthday

This is a post to Jackson Lee Adams who turned one on April 11. This is a picture of him when h was one day old. I got to do his hair and I thought he looked adorable! After he was born he started having trouble breathing and it was soon learned that he had pneumonia. Two days after he was born he was transferred to Utah Valley hospital and was well taken care of.
Here is little Jackson on oxygen looking so darn cute I can't handle it! I didn't include a picture of him on a respirator with lights on him because of jaundice. He seriously looks so bad so I wanted to put pictures when he started feeling better. This is when he was about a week old.

Just chillin in the NICU!

My little man wearing his dad's hat. He is such a sweet, good boy I am so thankful he is a part of our family.

Seriously looking at his face makes me happy!

Here is Jackson opening up presents on his birthday. It was funny because I was nervous about what he would do. He totally went after his gifts and even though he didn't know exactly what he was doing he had his cousins there to help him!
Jackson getting ready to eat his cake.
This was when we were singing happy birthday to Jackson and he wasn't quite sure what to think.

He did a great job at eating his cake. He got it all over himself but that's why he's naked!

All the grandparents with Jackson. I am so thankful that Jackson is here with our family and for all the joy he brings into my life! I love you Jacks!

New Business

Well I decided to start a business selling Herbalife products. Many of you may be wondering why I decided to do this and what Herbalife is exactly. Well let me tell you. Since my dad died I have felt awful all the time physically and emotionally. Finally about 3 weeks ago I decided that I need to try to help myself feel better. I wasn't eating a lot because really nothing tasted good and I just have had no energy. So I was looking at something to help me because running around after two boys all day long can get very tiring. So I found Herbalife and its been a great product for me. They have so many different Herbs and Vitamins to help people feel there best. They have a plan that can help you lose weight, maintain your weight, or gain weight. I've just been taking some shakes to help me get the nutrition that I need and some extra vitamins and I feel so much better physically at least. I have honestly not felt this good since my dad passed and it was such a good feeling. So I decided that since I'm feeling so good why not help other people feel good as well? So I signed up to be a distributor and I'm learning all the ropes right now and I'm really enjoying it. So if anyone reading my blog is interested in knowing more information or just wants to pick my brain about health issues that I've learned about e-mail, call, or leave a message on this post. I'm so happy to start feeling better physically it makes me feel like a better mom and a better person. The emotional part will take a lot longer for me to start feeling better but I feel like I've started healing in some ways and other ways of healing will come. Anyway I hope all is well and I'll post again soon about my family. Nothing has really been happening around here I wish I had something to post about!

Fun in February!

So February was a fun month we did some fun stuff but it went by way to fast! I'm trying to catch up so bare with me! Tim and I had to opportunity to go to the Jazz game with my sister Sarah and her husband Cody. We got to sit on the 5th row and it was awesome! It was even better because the tickets were free! This picture above is us at the game and even though I look horrible I had to prove that we were there! I love going on dates with Tim, we never seem to go on enough of them!
Jackson got his first haircut! This is his hair before he got it cut. By the way i didn't do it before we went to get it cut I didn't see the point!

This is my cute boy after he got it cut! He still has so much hair even after getting it cut but its fun to style so I'm not complaining!

Usually on Tuesdays I'll go down to my mom's house and hang out with my sister Sarah and our kids. All the kids love being together and its nice to get out of the house and hang out with some grownups for a little bit. This is Sarah with Matt, Jackson, and her little boy Corbin. Seriously how cute are they?

Here is Jackson and Matt in the bath. They love taking baths together and its so much nicer to have them take a bath at the same time. I love having these pictures for future generations!

This is Matt's lawnmower but he thinks its a vacuum because its so loud! So he was vacuuming one morning with no pants on and since he hates having pants on I wanted to show him later in life how he really was when he was a child. Every time I try to put pants on him he refuses and since I don't want to fight over something so dumb I just don't care anymore. He does wear pants when we go out of the house so I am thankful for that!
So I let the dogs out one morning and I came back inside and here was Jackson having a great time with the pretzels. He was so cute and innocent I couldn't get mad at him I just had to take a picture.
This was Matt's first fort and he was so proud of it.

Okay this picture is a classic. Matt had to go to the bathroom and he had his sunglasses on so naturally I had to get a picture of it. He is such a fun, cute, smart boy!

Last but not least here is Jackson just hanging out in his room. This shows his cute new front teeth that I love because he had a big gap in the middle of them. He is such a great kid and I'm so grateful that he is a part of our family.
I am doing better then I have been in the last little while. Ever since my dad died I've really been struggling with life in general. Even taking off my makeup and brushing my teeth at night was so hard for me because I just didn't care. But in the last two weeks I've finally started to care about myself again and that is a great feeling! Thanks for all of you who have been there for me and helped me through this very difficult time in my life. I don't know what I would do without my family and friends they are everything to me!

Finally Christmas Pics!

So its taken forever to get my Christmas Pictures up because I got a new camera for Christmas and thought I lost the cord to put the pics on the computer and I just found it tonight so I'm pretty happy. Well Christmas was good but very hard this year without my dad. I tried to make the best of the situation but I wanted to break down many times. On Dec 23rd Matt and I tried to make a gingerbread house and we got it to stand for about 2 mins and then it was done. We had lots of fun and got really messy making it. I love Matty so much and I'm so grateful everyday that he is a part of our family!
On Christmas Eve we went to my dad's grave and sang Christmas songs with my Aunt Diane's family. This is my dad's headstone and the Chips and Fries in the corner are because those are my dad's favorites and Tim thought he would enjoy those rather then flowers.

Here is Tim, me and Matty in front of my dad's grave. Jackson was in the car, it was so cold outside that we didn't want him to get sick. I'm hoping that we make this a family tradition to sing Christmas Songs every year at my dad's grave. He loved singing Christmas songs at the hospital and we thought this would be a great way to honor him.

After we went to the cemetery we ate dinner at my mom's house and watched some old Christmas movies when we all lived back in Maryland. I only lived there until I was 6 so it was fun watching all of us when we were so young. Afterwards we all went to the hospital and sang some Christmas carols to about 5 people. It always touches my heart every year I get to do this because I just think about if I was in the hospital and how nice it would be for people to come sing to me. Most of the people are so grateful. This is a picture of my Aunt Diane's entire family. We always have so much fun with them!
Here is our family minus Sarah's husband Cody and her son Corbin, and Tim and Jackson. We are very small compared to my Aunt Diane's family.
We all slept over at my mom's house and it was fun hanging out with just the kids until late at night. We woke up early on Christmas morning of course and opened lots of nice gifts. I know it was hard for my mom this year but she was truly amazing and she was so happy to be with all of her kids.
After presents we made breakfast and then we went up to Tim's parents house. There are 6 grand kids now and they all had a great time opening up presents together. Matt was kind of in a bad mood because he wanted to play with the gifts he had and not open any other one's. We were all pretty tired but we still had lots of fun.
Here is Tim with Matt. Matt fell on the ground on Christmas Eve morning so he had a nice carpet burn for all the pictures you got to love boys!
Here is the cute Wilson family with Heidi, Issac, Ashlynn, Carter, and Tony. We love them all very much. I don't know why but I didn't get a picture of Tim's other sister Carrie or Stephanie and there families. Sorry guys we love you to!

Here is Jackson cuddling Spencer I thought that was adorable! After we opened gifts we went to visit Tim's Grandma Adams and his other Grandma who was in a rehab center because she broke her back. After we got home we were all so tired! We ate a great dinner of grilled cheese sandwiches (I wasn't prepared) and we all went to bed by 8! It was a very nice Christmas and I only cried half a dozen times. I still miss my dad everyday but I know that he's watching out for all of us from the other side! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and my goal for this year is to update my blog every 2 weeks! We'll see how that works out!

Its Been Forever!

So I'm looking at my blog the other day and its been 2 months since I last blogged. Wow where has the time gone? I have been just crazy busy this time of year I guess but that is no excuse. I have been doing lots of fun stuff with family and friends and its been nice to get out of my house and not think about life and how hard it is at times. I'm sure that we all feel that way.
These pics are kind of out of order so bare with me. This is me and my cousin Melanie on Black Friday. We both bought the same headband and we had to show them off. They were dang cute I might add!

This is the whole group who went shopping we started out at Tai Pan, then Bath and Body works, Target, IHOP, and of course Ross. We were gone for 10 hours and my legs were dead by the end but it was so much fun. I'm so glad we have this tradition. My dad usually would go with us every year and we would have him wait in the long line while we shopped and by the time we were done he was at the front of the line, this strategy worked out perfect. We didn't have any takers this year. It was defiantly hard without him, he will always be missed!
On Thanksgiving we went to my cousin Alex's church and played games and had great food. We had lots of relay races and we were all put into teams it was so much fun. You have to understand I have 54 cousins and 10 aunts/uncles and over 100 second cousins and counting right now. When we all get together we have so much fun but there is always lots of people and I love it! This is my sister Sarah with her cute little boy Corbin. Oh also we lost our camera at the church so I had to get these pics from my cousin Melanie. We did get a new camera for Christmas though. Here is my adorable Jackson he seriously is so cute I can't handle it. He looks exactly like Tim and that makes it even cuter!
Here is a picture of my mom and her three grandsons. We are hoping someday to give her a granddaughter but that won't be for awhile on my end! You know life is good it is hard for sure but I know that I've learned so much through my trials then I have when things were going great. I am so thankful for my family and friends who are there for me and who care about me so much!

Pics and so much more!!!

I thought that title would be catchy! Well this month has been pretty fun we've done lots of stuff but I haven't taken pictures at everything. But the events I did take pictures at I wanted to show everyone who looks at my blog.

This was actually tonight we carved some pumpkins. Matt was so excited because he picked the pumpkins out himself like 2 weeks ago and we've been waiting to carve them so they didn't go bad. This was Tim carving and getting all the seeds out.
Here is my cute boy Matt! He is such a sweet feisty boy and I love him so much!

This is a pic of both boys having fun carving. Matt wanted Tim to carve him an alligator in the pumpkin and since we didn't know how to do that we carved a pumpkin with teeth but one of the teeth chipped so it looks like a redneck pumpkin its pretty funny!
Tim took the boys up to his parents house last week and the kids decorated pumpkins. I was up in Logan at my cousin Matt's wedding reception. The kids loved doing this and Matt talked about it for days afterwards. This is Matt with his cousin Ashlynn.
Carter, Ashlynn, and Matt before they decorated.

We also went up to Gardener Village and saw all the witches. For those of you who live in Utah this is such a fun place for kids. Its free and its just fun walking around and seeing all the fun witches. We do this every year with my friends.

This is a pic of all the kids and Jackie, well she's a kid at heart so its okay! Jackie, Collin, Matt, Nora, and Quincy.

My little sister Sarah also had a baby boy Corbin on October 4 and I went over one morning to help her. Since it was like 8 in the morning the boys were all in there pj's and they all looked adorable! I think its hilarious that Jackson is only 6 months older then Corbin and he looks huge! We are so happy that Corbin is here and we all love him to much, what a good baby!

We also went down to my friend Melissa's house and my old boss Alexis from college came over. Weird thing but Alexis lived next door to my friend Melissa when she was my boss and we all became friends. So anyway we all got together and it was so much fun because I haven't seen Alexis for about 2 years. One other friend came over but I can't remember her name! Sorry! This is a pic of all the kids. They all had fun together. Its been a fun month and this week will be crazy with lots of Halloween activities so be looking for some fun pics of that! Until next time...

Some Thoughts

Sorry I haven't posted on my blog for awhile now, its been a very challenging time for me. I have had so many people write and tell me so many nice things since my dad passed away and I wanted to thank all of you for all of your love and support. Everyday is a challenge and I find myself crying constantly but I know that someday the ache and the pain will get better and I'll be able to just think of great times with my dad and not feel so sad. I am truly blest to have an amazing family who looks out for one another and amazing friends as well. I don't know what I would do without any of you. Again thank you all for your love I feel it everyday and I am thankful for your prayers as well. I've posted two new posts for the last 6 weeks. Even though I have lots more pictures this was all I was able to do today. Hope you enjoy!
