I was thinking...

So I've been thinking this week about lots of random things but one thing that has really been on my mind has been going to the temple. I've been really wanting to go to the temple this month and just feel the spirit and it seems like the days that you are planning to go things are always bad! Before we had kids we would just go on the spur of the moment because we didn't want to plan and have things go bad and not be able to go. So anyway Friday was our day to go and I was not feeling good all day.

I was having small contractions all day that were actually pretty painful. Then Tim was late getting home and right before we left Matt runs into his rocking chair in his room and has a bad bloody lip. So I'm seriously thinking in my head can I really go to the temple I am so not in the mood! But we decide we'll go anyway because when you don't want to go is when you need it the most. So we get Matt's bloody lip under control and we head out. Tim's parents were watching Matt and they live in West Valley and on a Friday night at 5:30 is not the best time to be on the road, plus you add in lots of fog, man it was kind of a scary drive.

So we finally make it to Tim's parents and then to the temple and there is no parking because it was a Stake Temple night. Its a good thing that there was so many people there but I was just so tired by that point it was just one more thing. So we finally made it into the temple and I'm so glad that we were able to do an endowment session. I felt the spirit so strong and even though I could barley fit into my dress and physically it was hard to sit there it was such a great night.
We were suppose to pick Matt up afterwards but we didn't get out of our session until 10:45pm and the fog had gotten worse so he ended up spending the night at his Grandparents house. So we went to Village Inn for some dinner since I was starving and it was just so nice to be able to be with Tim with no interruptions and just hang out, talk, and laugh together!

Thank you Ron and Rhonda for watching Matt I needed a break and it was nice to be with Tim! Anyway after we got home from our outing I was thinking of how hard it is sometimes to do things that we know we should be doing in our lives. Satan throws all sorts of obstacles our way to make us not want to do those thing we should be doing, but if we do things we want/should be doing we will feel so good afterwards! Anyway it was just something I was thinking about this week I hope the 2 people who read this blog will enjoy it! Until next time...

Good Times

Over the last week I've had some good times with Family and Friends! On Saturday we went over to Tim's parents house to celebrate Tim's birthday. He got lots of nice things from his siblings, parents, and grandparents. We have many people who love us very much! This is Matt with is Nanny and Grandpa. He loves them both very much and we are thankful for all that they do for us in our life.
In our house underneath the counter was where the microwave was but I didn't like bending down to microwave everything so we put it on the counter and now Matt has a favorite spot. He loves to eat in this little "nook" and of course lay down and pretend to be sleeping. He is such a good, fun little boy!

I also had Girls Night Out with my girlfriends and of course we had a blast! We went out to dinner at Los Hermonos and afterwards went and saw Bride Wars. It was a cute movie. We always have so much fun talking and catching up on life that sometimes its hard to go home. But I'm so thankful to have such great friends and for all that they've helped me get through in my life. I'm also very thankful for a great husband who will watch Matt so I can get out and have some fun. Also I think this is a horrible picture of me but everyone else looked cute so I decided to put my pride aside and post it on the blog, this is for you girls!

Random Happenings/Tim's Birthday

Here are a couple of pictures over the last two weeks. This is a pic of Matt with a bow in his hair. I used to dress up my little brother when he was little like a girl so I guess I'm still doing it with my own kids! I'm sure Tim will love this picture!
This is Matt with his Aunt Steph. She was visiting one night and he just climbed up on her lap and wanted to lay down with her. I thought this picture was so cute!

This is what Matt did with all my shoes one day. He got all of my shoes out and lined them up from the closet through the bedroom. He loves lining everything up its pretty funny!

This is Tim blowing the candles out on his ice cream cake. Matt was very excited that he picked it out for his dad. On Tim's actual birthday I took him out to dinner to Mcgrath's fish house and then to the Jazz game. I think he liked it and had a good time. I also gave him some gifts that hopefully he liked as well. He is such a great husband and I'm so grateful for all that he does for our family. I don't know what I would do without him in my life!

This is just a funny pic of Matt. He got a hold of my mascara and he got some on his face it was pretty funny! That's pretty much my life in a nut shell this week. Until next time...

Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Well first I have to say that I had such a wonderful Christmas Season and I love this time of the year! We haven't had a lot to do but plenty to do as well so I never felt like things were out of control or overwhelming! The pictures I have of December are out of order so you'll have to bare with me.
This is a picture of Matt and his cousin Spencer on Christmas morning. I love that they are both smiling they are so cute! We slept over at Tim's parents house on Christmas Eve so we were there bright and early Christmas morning.

Here is a picture of Ashlynn, Carter, Tony and Heidi. What a cute family! We all got together with everyone in Tim's family and opened gifts on Christmas morning. Even though the weather was horrible we still made it down to my families house for the rest of Christmas day.

We got down to my families house around noon and Matt was having fun opening up more presents. I think he was a little overwhelmed because he wanted to play with the toys he got and I was trying to give him more gifts to open so he didn't really like that.

This is everyone getting ready to open up gifts at my parents house. We all got together and it was just fun being with everyone. We didn't really do anything all day just hung out, ate a lot of good food, and got to spend good quality time together. What more can you ask for?

For our parents Christmas gift this year they wanted and new floor in their laundry room so all of us kids pitched in and helped give them a new floor. I have to admit that Cody and Sarah did the most but I tried to do as much as I could being pregnant and all! This is all of us getting ready to grout the floor. It was fun being able to spend all of that quality time together and do something really nice for our parents as well.

These are a picture of Tim's mom's famous sugar cookies. She spent a lot of time on them and I had to take a picture so I could show the world what a great job she did!
We went over to Tim's parents house the Monday before Christmas to have a family night and the kids had lots of fun learning about Christ's birth and putting pictures up on a board. This picture is cute because they were all very much into the story!

The Saturday before Christmas we went to Tim's grandparents house and got to see all of his extended family. We don't get to see them very much so when we do see them its always nice. This is a picture of Tim's cousins son Daxton who is a month older than Matt, Carter and Matt. These boys got along well and I'm sure they will be having some good times as they grow up.

This is one of the sweetest pictures. all of the Great-Grand kids got together and they sang I am a Child of God to their Great-Grandpa. Even though Matt doesn't know the words he still stood there which I thought was great!
We also had a great Christmas Eve. We went to our friends house in Alpine and pretty much just hung out and had fun. There were 4 couples and it was fun because we all have kids the same age so the kids pretty much entertained themselves and just played together. We don't get to see our friends very often so it was fun to be able to hang out for a long time and just catch up and talk about life. Its also great to hear stories of Tim and his friends when they were younger. They did some crazy things! But its been a great holiday season and I'm sad to see it end but I'm also looking forward to the New Year. I'm going to make some new resolutions and hopefully in the next two months have Matt potty trained! Wish me luck! Happy New Year everyone!
