Early Christmas

So we decided to have an early Christmas for Matt. We're going to be gone on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to our families houses so we decided to let Matt open our gifts. He's still in his pj's because he's not feeling very well but he still has a cute smile on his face!

He needed some help with his gifts because he's still not quite sure what to do. (Sorry about the pic I couldn't get it turned)

Tubing

So last night my entire family went tubing up at Soldier Hollow. It was so much fun! The best part is you just grab your tube and then they hook you up to this pully system and it pulls you up the mountain so you don't have to walk! The runs weren't very slippery but we still had so much fun. It was snowing like crazy and it looked like we were in a snow globe it was beautiful. We did a huge train of 8 of us going down the slope and it wasn't very fast but it was fun. Matt got to hang out in the lodge with his grandma and they had fun together. It was nice of my mom to watch Matt so Tim and I could have some fun together. It was really fun just being together as an entire family, that doesn't happen very often with everyone's different schedules. On our way home Provo Canyon was crazy. People were off the road, and we had to go about 20 mph almost the entire canyon. It was a long ride home but it was fun hanging out with Sarah and Cody in the car. So we get home and I told Tim to put Matt to bed and this morning when I went to get him he was still in his clothes plus is shoes! I was laughing my head off. I knew that Tim would leave his clothes on but his shoes too? Then just a second ago I went to check on Matt in his crib because he's suppose to be taking a nap and he had thrown everything out of his crib including his blankets, stuffed animals, binki, and pants. He was in the process of taking off his shirt. He is so funny I love my little boy so much! Sorry I don't have any pics I forgot my camera last night. What was I thinking!

Weekend of Fun!!!

So this weekend was fun and also a little stressful. We started out by dropping Matt off at my parents house to spend the night and to have some quality time with them. Then we went to my cousin Heather's house for her annual birthday party. Her husband James always creates a game with 10 rounds that have all sorts of questions and fun things to do. We were divided into three teams and we had so much fun during the game. We had pop culture questions, sports, world trivia, and of course a sing off! It was great watching people sing the song A Whole New World from the Aladdin soundtrack. Of course my team came in dead last which it does every year but who cares we had a blast! (Thanks James and Heather)
So we get home from the party and our heater stopped working. So we had a heat vent by our bed and that kept up pretty warm but when we woke up the next morning it was only 50 degrees in our house! If Matt would have been there we would have called the heating repair man that night but luckily he slept over at my parents house. So Tim spent all day trying to repair out heater and calling the repair man. I spent all day at my parents house watching Matt because there was no way I was bringing him home in a 50 degree house. You never realize how nice it is to have a heated home when you don't have it anymore. So finally in the afternoon Tim got the heating fixed and Matt and I came home. Then we had some friends over that night and we had dinner and we watched the movie Elf. That movie is hilarious! I just love Will Farrel's facial expressions! So it was a good weekend with only some mishaps.

Bubble wrap/Snow/Holiday Movies

Here is a picture of Matt playing with bubble wrap. Tim got a new picture and Matt loved playing with the box/bubble wrap. I was trying to show Matt how to pop the bubble wrap and he just looked at me and laughed. He didn't quite understand how to pop it but I'm sure he will someday. I love watching him discover new things and see things for the first time. Just watching the expressions on his face makes me so excited. I am so blessed to be his mom and to watch him grow up.
So I've been thinking about all this great snow we've been getting this weekend. I love the snow. I love looking at it while it comes down and playing in it. The only thing I don't like about it is driving in it. Sometimes I get impatient and I want to drive faster then I should and then I see people on the side of the road and then it reminds me to slow down. But I am grateful for all the snow we've been getting we really need to moisture.

Its been kind of a weird week I've really been into holiday movies. Any movie I see that's on that has to do with Christmas I either watch or tape so I can watch it later. I usually watch it when Matt goes to sleep and Tim goes to sleep (he goes to bed around 9:00 because he gets up around 5am). Its actually really put me into the holiday spirit and I've really enjoyed it. I won't be able to watch movies this week because now I have to play catch up and actually get my Christmas shopping/wrapping done. Sorry for the long post, if you read all of this your a trooper!

San Diego Trip

So we went on a trip to San Diego with our friends Ryan and Janine and their kids Taylor and Alissa. We had so much fun all together. Janine works for Jet Blue and the week before their trip they invited us to go because she got two free airline tickets. We got to San Diego around 7:00pm so we ate dinner and went to bed because we were all tired. This is a pic of Matt in his crip at the Hotel. We thought this crip looked like it should be in an orphanange. It was a pretty sad crib.
So the next day we went to Sea World and we had so much fun! Matt loved all the animals at the park and he even got to pet a dolphin. It was around 85 degrees there it was awesome weather. We just went to all the different shows that they have and just hung out and had fun. The kids were also great.

The next day we decided to head up to L.A. because we thought we could get a better flight out of their airport. But first we went to the beach. This was Matt's first time and he just kept looking at us like where are we? He did like the noise the ocean made. The kids got in the water and had lots of fun playing, but he adults on the other hand were not about to swim and then drive a couple of hours. Oh to be a kid again! This is a pic of Matt's first time in the ocean. Right as Tim was taking the pictures a wave came up behind me and got me pants all wet. You can see the suprise look on my face. After the beach we drove to L.A. and went shopping a little bit and then went to the airport. It was a short trip but we had so much fun just getting away and not having to worry about anything for awhile. Its fun to get away sometimes and not have to think about all the stress of the world. Its even better getting away when you don't have to pay for the airplane tickets (Thanks Janine!).

This is a picture of our family that we just got taken. Hopefully having a blog can keep me connected better with people and I can see what's going on in everyone's lives.

My First Post

Hello everyone! So I decided to be cool like everyone else and start a blog. I didn't do one for a long time because my life really isn't that exciting. But I thought It was a great way to stay connected to everyone. Life is good right now. Matt is doing great and he is so cute! I'm posting some pictures of him on here that we got taken about a month ago. Tim went out of town for a couple of days so I'm here holding down the fort. I don't know what else to really write so I'll write something later.
