California Trip

Our little family just got back from California yesterday at about 5:00pm so we are still trying to get back into our daily life. We went to California with my family which included my mom, dad, Sarah, her boyfriend Cody, and Reynolds. We stopped in Las Vegas and stayed with my Uncle Kerry and his family for 3 days and we had so much fun with them. My uncle took us out boating and I loved going on the tube. I was pretty good but I did get whipped off a couple of times. Matt loved the boat as well. He just loves being outside and he really likes boats as well. We were on the boat for about 5-6 hours and he was great he entire time.
I did find out some bad news right before we got to my Uncle Kerry's house and it made it really hard for me to enjoy myself during our entire trip. One of my best friends Melissa's mom died last Friday and I was so shocked and I felt so bad for her and her family. I've known her mom since I was 12 and she is such an amazing incredible person. She was always so fun to go and talk to because it was like she understood what we were going through and she could relate with us. I know that I loved talking to her about boys, and friends, or whatever was going on in my life. I just wanted to let Melissa know that I will truly miss her mom.
We left Vegas for California on Monday morning and arrived at Newport beach about 3:00. We ended up swimming that night and just relaxing together. The next day we went to the beach and I wasn't sure if Matt would like it or not but he ended up really liking it. He loved the sand and he liked playing in the water but it was kind of cold and he didn't like that very much. After the beach all of the kids went and saw "The Dark Knight". I have to admit that was a pretty good show. Heath Ledger did freak me out but he did a great job playing the joker. I would recommend that movie to whoever wants to have fun and be totally entertained. On Wednesday we ended up going to Laguna and shopping at all the little shops everywhere. It was nice to just be out and have fun shopping because as girls lets face it we pretty much all like doing that. On Thursday it was our last chance to go to the beach and I swear I almost drowned it was scary. The waves were huge and I kept getting caught underneath and I was so scared by the third wave that hit me. I ran out and I was shaking. But I am okay so no worries. Then we went shopping again and we watched a movie. Every night after we would get back we would play games and just have fun being together. On Friday we drove back to Vegas and stayed the night and then drove home yesterday.
It was very nice getting away for awhile and I want to thank my parents for planning the trip and for just being great amazing parents.
For those of you who don't know we will be moving back to Lehi probably the entire month of August. We have been praying and fasting for several months now and we just feel like its a good place for our family. We really like Draper but I am having major pain in my hip and all the stairs in our house is making it worse. So we are going to buy a rambler so its all on one level and I'm pretty excited but sad at the same time. That's pretty much what I'm going to be doing the entire month of August so if you don't hear from me much you'll know why. Oh and we're going to rent out our house in Draper. I'll update if anything happens. Until next time....

Animal Farm

We went to the Animal Farm last week at Thanksgiving point and Matt really liked it. We went with my sister Sarah and my mom. This is a picture of the cutest baby goat I've ever seen! The lady even let us hold it. Matt wasn't to sure about it but we decided that if it stayed that small we would have taken it home with us!
This is Matt in the gift shop, he loves dogs and he wanted this one but his mom took it away shortly after this picture. He had to many stuffed animals at home.
Sarah and my mom thought it would be funny to put this apron on Matt. He does look pretty cute but he was happy to take it off.
This is Sarah, me and Matt in front of the chicks.
This cow was hilarious. After this picture me and Matt went down to get a better look at it and it gets up and starts going to the bathroom. I don't think I've ever seen any animal go so much it was pretty funny!
This is Matt looking at the ducks. He knows all the animal sounds so he loves seeing animals.
This is how Matt wears his flip flops. I thought it was funny.
This is Matt and his grammy on the carriage ride. We had lots of fun going to the animal farm and I'll probably bring him back soon because it was only $3.50 because Matt gets in free until he's 2. Until next time...

Leaving Comments Anyone?

My friend Jackie had this on her blog and it looked really cool! Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.C'mon now, anything funny, strange, cool, embarrassing, or awful you remember about me??

4th of July Fun!!!

So we had a great 4th of July this year. We had so much fun with our families, it couldn't have been better! These pictures our out of order for some reason so I'll try to explain them all to you the best that I can! This is Matt and I swimming in the pool at my parents neighbors house. He got so tired because he hadn't taken a nap that he wanted to lay on the kick board! How cute!!! This is Tim and I at the "Parking lot of Fire". My family starting this tradition about 15 years ago and its still going strong. We do our fireworks in the church parking lot next door to my parents house and there is about 100-200 people who show up every year. This year was no exception. We have all kind of fireworks and of course illegal one's as well. The show lasted about an hour and it was so fun!
This is Tim my pyro husband having fun setting off fireworks!
This was the grand finale they did this year. They had three ladders and they put boards going to each ladder. They then put all the big fireworks on each board and lit them all at the same time. There was 6 guys doing this and let me tell you it was kind of scary! They were all running away getting the fire out of their hair! But in the end it was a great show and no one got hurt!
This is just a picture of Matt with his sunglasses on upside down!
We started off the day up at Tim's parents house and it was so funny because all of the kids showed up in the same shirt and we hadn't planned it at all. This is a picture of Matt and his cousin Ashlynn playing in the backyard. We also celebrated Tim's mom's 50th birthday and his Grandma's birthday as well. They are two wonderful women and I'm so happy that they are a part of my life as well as Matt's life.
This is Matt and his cousin Carter playing on the fridge with the magnets, they were getting ready to swim.
Here is the three kids having so much fun in the pool together. The water was a little cold but they had fun being together. Here is Matt getting wet in the pool by his Uncle Mark. I thought this picture was so funny!
This is Matt and my dad swimming in the pool. This was the only smiling picture I got of him later because he was so tired!

Summer Fun

So this summer has been pretty boring so far. Its so hot outside that I have such a hard time wanting to be outside for a long period of time. Matt loves being outside so I do take him outside everyday but he pretty much freaks out when I bring him back inside. This is a picture of him in our office playing with all the pens and pencils. He gave me such a cute smile!
I bought him a sprinkler and a pool and he had so much fun playing outside.
This is Matt trying to get a drink out of the sprinkler. He loved just running around and especially trying to test his limits. He thinks he can pretty much do anything and he won't get hurt, its a little scary at times but we've had no major accidents yet! He is so much fun and I'm so grateful that I am his mom!
